Single Electron Transistor can be use in analog design or no

Single Electron Transistor very very small ..

It can be use in analog design in deep submicro or just only for digital circuit ?

In digital design basically you operate a transistor in on or off mode, as opposed to analog design where mainly you work on the transition slope between the on and off mode - here you can exploit the gain function of a transistor (gm). So if you consider a SET as having just one electron it is very difficult to define the transition mode between on (there is an electron) and off (no electron), because you don't have any intermediate states so I don't see how you can use SETs for analog design.

deep submicron devices are little use for analogue purposes. And certainly a 1 electron transistor (although I've never heard of these), could not be used.
