Hello, this really applies to UK residents.

If you would like to read the BS, EN, IEC etc standards then they are all available online for free.

Normally you would be expected to pay for access to bs online.

However, if you find your county library website, there should be a link to "british standards online" somewhere, from there you can enter your library card number.
(if you do not have one then you will need to register to get one) and then you follow its links to get free access to the bsonline website.

There you can search and download every standard that they have available.
They are all prevented from being printed by being encrypted without a password.
(are they stupid or what!).

Access to these is free & legal to UK residents.

Just dont flog the site too much, and non UK residents please do not try & download everything as it will get reported as being abused & likely stopped.
(I cant see why someone outside the UK would want a BS anyway :D )

Also the website is currently 1/2 way through a server move/update so it looks as if you have been sent to a closed website, but if it says "logout" at the top left then you are logged in and can search from there.

Roland.
