Hello Everyone;
How we can implement a very narrowband notch filter in 600MHz?
Should op-amp be used? I have used a series LC connection, but its bandwidth is wide.

Re: Notch filter [hlp]

What do you mean by "very narrow"? Can you provide a value?

Re: Notch filter [hlp]

A simple series LC placed in shunt. Bandwidth depends on L/C value.
Limit is smallest C realizable.
VSWR is right, some numbers would help us help you.

Re: Notch filter [hlp]

Hello g579;
Please upload a schematic of your proposed filter.

Re: Notch filter [hlp]

Need to know:
How wide is the notch, and how deep is the notch.
Eg. at 600M I need in a 10 MHz BW more than 20 dB attenuation, a specification something like that. These numbers are imperative to know.

Re: Notch filter [hlp]

Hello g579;
For example, suppose that in 600MHz, I need -30dB attenuation and -3dB bandwidth of filter be 500kHz.

Re: Notch filter [hlp]

Your data shows about 0.1% bandwidth, at 600 MHz.
I think it is unsolvable, to be stable, with any conventional filters.
Perhaps look for a SAW notch filter.

Where I can find a SAW notch filter?

Re: Notch filter [hlp]

Writing into Google of
SAW notch filter
gave me 451000 links.
Try to search with Google, with some imagination.
