Can we load schematics directly to FPGA or CPLD?

Every time we need to write any program if we want a logic device to function like our requirement.....can we load directly a schematic to our fpga or cpld ..if possible how to do that???:?:

use schematic entry instead of VHDL/verilog

Which FPGA/CPLD devices are you using?

Some FPGA/CPLD development tools provide schematic entry, but most engineers have switched to HDL because it's generally much easier and faster.

Even if you use schematic entry, you probably can't use your old project schematics. You would probably need to create a new schematic using the library components (counters, flops, gates, registers, etc) provided by the development tools.
