Which country has best opportunities (work and Pay) in VLSI

I thank that it will depend on your company which you r working for. In china mainland , if u a working for a multi-nation company u will get more money than the small local company, but u will lost a lot of change to improve your skills and expand your exp(you must in charge of lots of tasks, and form front 2 back end ). For 2 years exp ASIC designer, such as shang hai (China Mainland)
multi-nation Company : 15000RMB/Month +-20%
local Company : 10000RMB/Month +-20%

The semi industry is as over-capacity as auto.

Don't expect a stable good pay in such a dynamic industry. Best opportunity may become a worst one in a few years.
 

i am in china
3 yr exp asic design
in a local company
for 4000 rmb just 600$
 

the low cost advantage of main land china has taken china into a rivalrous position. but how long will it be?

I too heard that working hours are more in Japan.
More work to less work Japan - India - US - Europe.
salaries high to low US - Europe - Japan - India
