How to know that 7-segment display is cathode or anode ?

how can we know that 7-segment display is cathode or anode.please help me.

What is the model number of your display? I can read it and tell you.

Cathode if the common is +v. Anode if the common is ground.

Well if you dont have model number, you can test it with multimeter, but you will have to know pinout... Or just the common pin...
But usualy there is a model number, just type it in google and the results will come out...
