At wich enviroment ? CMOS standard-cell design ?

Be more specific in what do you really want to realize in XOR gate....

U can implement the ex-or gate using

1. Nand gate
2. Nor gates
3. a(bbar)+ b(abar) => 2 and, 2 inverter, 1 or
4. Mux (cmos or TG or...)

using Cmos is what you should go for low power

for high speed use current mode logic styles and th result will be high pwer consumption
 

u can implement it with transmission gates also
there u only need 6 transistors to make an xor gate
or u can take 4 transistors and implement an xor gate

Can I ask, I was about to start a new topic but I will post here now. How do I realize an XOR gate using ordinary (one way) switches? For instance AND gate is realized by two one way switches in series. Only if both are closes (ON) the output is high. What would be the circuit for XOR?
