saturation mode bjt

Hi.
I wnat to use a BJT transistor as a switch...
and to do that ,as I have red, I have to force my BJT transistor to work in saturation mode, (Is that true???)
So,How can I force a BJT transistor to work in saturation mode???

what happen to bjt transistor in sturation mode

Hi
IC/IB < beta
regards

bjt transistor saturation

Yes,
In other word, inject a base current that is (far) greater than the collector current /beta.
Ex: beta is 100, Ic = 500mA, then inject 20mA as Ib for example.
