neural networks for fingerprint recognition

system algorithm

1. Image Acquisition
2. Local Ridge Orientation
3. Segmentation
4. Singularity and Core Detection
5. Enhancement
6. Binarization/Thinning
7. Feature Extraction/Minutiae Detection
8. Neural Network (Classification)

I have to using all the pre-processing as stated above?? Or just choose few of it?
Can anyone give me some suggestion to choose the algorithm for fingerprint recognition system. Thanks.....

fingerprint recognition

Hi..u can refer Fingerprint Handbook(Springer),also u can go for Raymond Thai algorithm for minutiae detection..

neural network+fingerprint+methodologies

Not necessary to use all of them.

Image acquisition is a must.
Then you can enhance the image using different methods depending on your image quality. Feature extraction also you can choose from several methods, like minutiae detection or singular and core detection. Finally feature is used in neural network for recognition.

Try to find out some old posts here and read. There are a lot of info here.

hi

If you have finished your project please send me your docs and codes.

thanks
