How to establish the width of power ring around the chip core?

I would like to know how we decide the width of power ring around the chip core?

power ring width

please calcultate how much current you need. and look up the Design rules to find out how much current the power ring metal can endure per um. Using those info, U can find a way. Don't forget to keep some margin.
