Hi,

Why is it that when simulating a PIC16F877A on Proteus 7.1, PCL and PCLATH is not updated on runtime? Instead it stucks on 0100 address. Although the program is running, the program counter is not simulated to update. Is this really by design on proteus or some flags have to be switched in order to update the program counter simulation.

Any thoughts on this? Im having some issues such that the MCU goes to hang state thats why i need to know wahts happening in the program counter

Note: the code loaded to teh PIC is a hex file generated fropm MPLAB not on the design environemnt in proteus.

Any ideas would be highy appreciated?

Thanks,
neo

i have a little similiar problem on Proteus 6.7 SP3, there i dont see the values of PCL and PCLATH during debug in watch window...
