Hello
Plz help me
I don't Know what is The Differences of Pulse transformer between another transformer?
And Why we must use Pulse transformer ???

What the usage of Pulse transformer is?
How many uses of it are ??
thank

Re: The Differences of Pulse transformer and Source transfor

difference between pulse transformer is that pulse transformer is designed for high frequencies.... the rapid change is used to produce very high voltages....
ordinary transformers get saturated at such high frequencies and hence are very inefficient...

helloA.Anand Srinivasan

Arcording to U , we can use Pulse transformer instead of ordinary transformer. But We can't use ordinary transformer instead of Pulse transformer.
and
Can U tell me more detail about it!Which frequency need PULSE transformer

Re: The Differences of Pulse transformer and Source transfor

it is not something like ordinary transformers cannot be used....

Actually pulse transformer is used when a DC signal is to be voltage converted... the DC signal is chopped into square wave and since the transitions in the square wave consists a lot of frequencies it drives transformers to saturation and hence pulse transformers are specially shaped to avoid this situation...

Re: The Differences of Pulse transformer and Source transfor

PWM's output is just square wave of varying width... that is what pulse transformer specialises in amplifying.... see whether the amplifier signals you are talking about involves square wave.... if not then post the link and i'll try and find what they are used there for....
