A problem about recovery time of pulse?

In DLVA Design, the recovery time of pulse is about 1 us when input power is above -10dBm, how to shorten the recovery time if i use AD640 to do the LOG operation. how about other DLA IC?

Any advise is welcome .Thanks very much.
