I used LDV5.0, DC-ultra, Debussy, and LEC under redhat 8.0

it seems no problem...

We have PADS Powerlogic & PowerPCB for Windows at work,
I have used my Laptop which runs both Mandrake 9.1 and Suse 8.2
to run pads with Wine without a problem or really noticable speed issues.

We use Syn0psys VCS7, DC, PT, TMAX, Astro , Starsim, Starrcxt , Cosmos scope , C@dence LDV5 , SoC encouter ,under Redhat ADS 2.1 , and all is ok!

I use LDV, IC50, DC, Laker, Debussy on RH7.3

On Redhat 8.0 Maybe the following is your dream:

LDV50, IC50
DC2003, PT2003, VCS7
Hspice2003, Starsim, Starrcxt, Cosmos
Modelsim5
Debussy5
LEC3.5
Matlab6.5
XHDL3.2
Clearcase2002

On RedHat 8.0
Simulation : VCS7.0.1 + NC-Verilog 4.1
Synthesis: Synopsys DC 2003.03
Debugger: Debussy 5.2.20
STA : Primetime 2003.03
Layout : Laker v3.0.6
P&R : Astro 2003.03
DRC/LVS : Calibre 2002.05
RC-exteract : Star-RCXT 2003.03
Full_simulation: Nanosim 2003.03

eda on linux

vcs, DC.. , LDV are common da tools on linux

Modelsim 5.6x,5.7x for linux
QuartusII 2.2 SP2 for linux

How about Red Hat 9.0? Does anyone have successful story for running EDA tools under it? Thanks.
