    [SOLVED] Neutral and Ground Connection?

Still not answering my question... Does they have some kind of inductor between them or low-ohm resistor or some kind of special metal material?

    [SOLVED] Neutral and Ground Connection?

Thanks barry and red_alert....thanks for the answers....so probably for my final question is....what is making the neutral and ground shorted? Does they have some kind of inductor between them or low-ohm resistor or some kind of special metal material? Thanks.

    [SOLVED] Neutral and Ground Connection?

Just a bit confuse...need help from you guys...We have 220AC 3phase line (L1,L2,L3,Ground, & Neutral). But I wanted only to use 110AC to power-up my 110AC power supply. So I tried to measure Neutral and live (either L1, L2, L3) and I can get 110AC. Same goes to Ground and live (either L1,L2,L3)...

[SOLVED] Please help identify the part in the picture...thanks

Hello...just to update on this...yes FvM is correct. There was a trace broken causing the failure. Thanks.

[SOLVED] Please help identify the part in the picture...thanks

Looks to me also like NTC...but am confuse why the label is "Y1". Another info I can share is when I measure the incoming AC, I can get 120V...but after this Y1 can measure nothing. So I am thinking that this Y1 might be converting the AC 50Hz into something higher frequency that the meter can't...

[SOLVED] Please help identify the part in the picture...thanks

Please see attached photo...anyone please help me identify what is the part colour like brown. Have PCB label "Y1" and part's marking R560. This part got 2 pins connected in series with the AC line (live line) and to the input rectifier (DF06). Please help...thanks.

What influences the Vref of UC3825N that can only read 3.5V instead of 5.1V ???

Yes it came from rectified output from first high freq transformer.

What influences the Vref of UC3825N that can only read 3.5V instead of 5.1V ???

Hello All...please help me in my troubleshooting. Got power supply with multiple output but all read 0V when powered-up. Got this pwm UC3825N vref read 3.5V instead of 5V. The vcc read 10V. Please see the photo...any help is really appreciated...thanks.

    UC3825 Vref expect 5.1 but measure 11Vdc.

The original part is UC3825N, same part I replaced. Please see photo when I turn on the power supply. Hoping help..thanks.

    UC3825 Vref expect 5.1 but measure 11Vdc.

Hi all...yes correct found grounding problem due to a trace broken...Now when I check the Vref I measured only 3.5Vdc. Expected 5.1Vdc. The measured Vcc for this PWM id 10.10Vdc. Did experiment with good UC3825 but still at Vcc 8.5Vdc the Vref read 5.1Vdc.... Any idea what factors or problem...

    UC3825 Vref expect 5.1 but measure 11Vdc.

Ah ok...I noticed that the pin10 gnd of uc3825 is not connected with the gnd at primary side. Should be connected?
  14. R

    UC3825 Vref expect 5.1 but measure 11Vdc.

Done replaced the PWM, not helping...Gnd pin connects to pin10. Actually VCC is 11.4V, and Vref is 11.13V.

    UC3825 Vref expect 5.1 but measure 11Vdc.

Hello again team...am troubleshooting an smps power supply...really running out of options after replacing all semiconductor parts from the primary area. Problem is the same. No output, fan spin intermittently. I saw UC3825 pwm, measured the Vcc read 11Vdc. Then I measured Vref and it read also...

    SMPS MOSFET replacement?

Hello...please help me verify if the IXFH26N50 can be direct replacement with 2SK1518....thanks

    SMPS MOSFET replacement?

Oh men! Looks like lots of homework then....So for the moment is there anyone here can help me find the mosfet replacement for 2SK1518 and APT5025BN...thanks a lot.

    SMPS MOSFET replacement?

Doesn't have much time really looking the reasons why mosfets blown. I am watching >20 machines running 24/7. The best thing I can do to speed up troubleshooting is to see blown parts and replace. Maybe in the later part can find time to analyse... But now I need help for the criteria looking...

    SMPS MOSFET replacement?

This SMPS was running <2yrs...And it was blown during normal operation. It could be an aging...am not sure though...So in summary, googling result is true? The 3 things to consider in finding alternative mosfets are voltage, current, and RdsOn...thanks
