i a writing a code in verilog which involves the use of division operator.the code works fine if i check it for syntax or for simulation purposes but gives an error if i synthesize it.it says tha division operatation cannot be done.

the signal is being genrated from a modulated disc.which comprises of transparent and opaque slots.at the back of the disc i have detectors.the light source is reflected via lens on to disc and you have a gyro which causes the light to be projected on to disc in a circular path.i am...

i have basically a narrow band fm signal.the carrier wave is of 800hz whereas the message signal is of 100hz.and i ve to demodulate it using dll.
i ve done it using pll but now i need to do it via dll.however i dont know how to proceed.
i am looking and trying to implement it.its just that i ve to start from the basics.and i couldnt really find the fundamentals anywhere regarding the fmdeodulation using dll.

pll can be used to lock freq as well phase.it all depends on the type of phase detector you use.like i am using j-k flipflops to make my phase detector.it detects both phase and frequency.
