  1. [PIC]Closed: Re: ADC reading , Timer interrupt - dspic33ch128mp508

You should not need to set the GIE bit to 1 as that is its Power-on default setting.\
Look at the ADC FRM section for that MCU - it has a whole section of examples.

  2. Closed: Re: dsPIC30F2010 - 30 I/SP restarts at interval of 20seconds for no known reason

The answer, as so often happens, is in the data sheet. The last paragraph of Section 19.4.2 says that, if you turn off the config bit, then the WDT is controlled by software with the SWDTEN bit. Make...

Also be aware that strings in most compilers are null terminated which mean that "1234" is actually 5 characters long.

  5. Closed: Re: [Microcontroller] Voltage Reading without ADC

If all you are interested in is if a voltage is above or below a given value, then use a comparator and a stable voltage source (e.g. a zener or you want something cheap and nasty). T
    That can feed...
  6. Closed: Re: ESP8266 sends temperature and humidity data to IFTTT using MQTT

How does the ESP8266 relate to the device you link to? It looks like it does the job for you.
What have you come up with yourself?
What is your experience with WiFi programming? MQTT? Embedded app...
  7. Closed: Re: Help with PIC16F886 0-55VDC Voltmeter (code adapted fm Arduino)

I had assumed it was an attempt to round to the nearest 10mV. Anyway that would not really make much difference - given the domain of 0V to 55V in a 10-bit ADC, the LSB equates to just over 5mV....
  8. Closed: Re: Help with PIC16F886 0-55VDC Voltmeter (code adapted fm Arduino)

@mcmsat13 - your code might be working but what is the point of the 2nd and 3rd 'delay_ms(1)' statements on either side of the calculation of 'vout'?
I can understand the delay after selecting the...
  9. Closed: Re: Help with PIC16F886 0-55VDC Voltmeter (code adapted fm Arduino)

As far as I know the 'delay_xxx' functions ARE blocking but so is the code that @mcmsat13 asked about in Post #11 (and you quoted).
They are also unreliable in terms of accuracy as they don't take...
  10. Closed: Re: Help with PIC16F886 0-55VDC Voltmeter (code adapted fm Arduino)

The alternative is to start by understanding what the code is doing - in this case it is providing a delay for a given period of time.
I've not used CCS C for many (many) years but it has a...
  11. Closed: Re: Loading PIC micro programming pins ICSPDAT and ICSPCLK

When you use the programming pins as ordinary GPIOs then you can do what you want with them. However, when you want to use them as programming pins then they should be unloaded.
    You can achieve this...
  12. Closed: Re: diffrentiate between lost wire detection and zero input in a terminal

If you can design this yourself, then shift the voltage up by a known amount. That way, if the line s disconnected, it will show as 0V, where as the lowest valid voltage will show as the offset...

Move the IC1 ISR out of the main function - it should be at the top level of your code. I'm surprised that the XC16 compiler didn't flag this as at least a warning.

  15. Closed: Re: stretching the 0 pulse of a digital output with a certain T

The problem with the circuit you propose (monostable and NAND gate) is the NAND gate. You want a '0' output if EITHER the monostable is low (in the case of the pulse being shorter than the monostable...

    - when the circuit is powered, it...

  19. Closed: Re: WI-FI module with at least 2MBps data rate

SPI and UART are totally independent interfaces on the ESP8266 devices. Also the max clock speed for the SPI interface is the system clock/2 (40MHz?) but that would probably imply the need for DMA to...

  22. Closed: Re: Connecting a SPDT switch to I/O pin of a CPLD

In post #17, you say that you set the TRISB bits (12, 13, 14 and 15) to '0' (actually I can't see that in the code you post in #18) but the code in the last code block in post #18, you have them set...
