Closed: Re: 1500mW laser diode question

Well I merely posted the ebay product to show you what specs are available - not much.

Yes I came to the same conclusion and set my laser controller to just under 300mA and 5V out.

    But I seem...

This is all I have. Looks like a manufacturer name at least. Neja? Mean anything to you?

Perhaps I am just going to have to trial and error this. Start off with 50% duty cycle and up it until it...

    You misunderstand me.

    Not talking about LEDs.

I am talking about the rule of thumb with LEDs.

Is there a similar rule of thumb with laser diodes?
E.G. Run it at no more than 50% duty cycle...

But now it doesn't seem to be able to burn the MDF.

Closed: How do you trigger a triac?

I have the following circuit with some minor variations:

    150970

    AC voltage is 24V
    Vg is 5V
    R is 390 ohms
There is a solenoid valve in place of the lamp.
    Triac is MAC97

Yeah I did notice the incorrect connection of the POT - assumed it was an inadvertent mistake when he drew up his schematic.

Can anyone tell me if this is a correct principal for noise cancellation.
In this case it is not for listening to music or what ever, rather to reduce bank ground noise for sleeping purposes.

OK. So the schottky conducts excess voltage into the power supply.
Assuming you have a 3.3V square wave going into a pin then what does the signal look like if you add a 3.3V zener diode to the pin?
