  1. Closed: Re: Basic 12v Battery VOLTAGE METER, more resolution needed

Your k7tty.com link appears suitable to provide expanded scale. I built similar voltmeters. It has instant response to voltage. I can see where it drops to in the first 1/10 of a second when cranking...

Have you experimented with a long-tail pair? That is the usual basis to derive a differential signal from two incoming signals.

Diode D6 only allows charging to the lower battery. It should be placed to stop current backflow to the 12V circuitry, but allow current to the 24V circuitry.

No doubt small describes this length of timestep. Try a larger figure on a par with your other time steps (they're in the realm of microseconds).

Perhaps your circuit has a pulse generator?...

I think it's okay if you apply 4A at 50 percent duty cycle to each battery. (Don't know about 8A at 25% duty. Or 16A at 12.5% duty.)

It's efficient if you maintain the power source at just a volt...

It's okay to use mosfets with pwm although their low On-resistance may pass several (perhaps too much) Amperes to the batteries. More so when batteries are at low voltage. Therefore it's a good idea...

Can you set a value for charge voltage on the output capacitor (and other capacitors)? After power-up, I find that it usually requires many operating cycles until capacitors charge so that a circuit...
