    Extend the CPW to the edges of the simulation domain, and apply the waveports there. Then, they won't need to be backed by a PEC.

    The error is correct; you can't assign wave ports inside of a simulation domain, unless you back them with a PEC. Are you sure you want to use a wave port and not a lumped port?

    Alright, so your half-mode data is not self-consistent: the S-parameters clearly indicate that the cutoff frequency is around 5 GHz, but the Beta plot is showing that you have a cutoff around 10 GHz....

    You're using a waveport, but only exciting one mode. Have you checked which mode this is? Typically for a CBCPW it's a parallel-plate type mode.
