Closed: Re: Induction Cooktop Circuit Design

Your "core" is the pan and your secondary is the pan
and the secondary "burden resistor" is the pan as
well. As this is highly end-user-variable I'd think that
    attention should be paid to...

If you were really keen on noise control you might put a
well under it and then that feature would want its usual
subfeatures and so on. Nwell does not have to be VDD-
    biased, it could be ground...
  3. Closed: Re: Why all the applied Voltage appears across the Depletion Region ?

The N and P regions will conductivity-modulate at
high injection (high being relative to the doping,
lightly doped materials modulate a lot, usually a
good thing unless you don't like storage...
  4. Closed: Re: Simulating the input capacitance of digital instance

Use a vpulse with a finite, technology-appropriate rise
and fall time, plot the current, C=I/(dV/dt) which you
    know from setting it.
  5. Closed: Re: Can IP(Intellectual Property) open source, what does good business model?

Open source is about doing things that matter without the idea
that you'll make money at it.

Now a business superstructure does tend to enforce discipline
and "finishing the job" while open...

    Closed: Re: Mosfet equation: Qinv

Qdepl is how much charge to negate the doping at the surface.
That is a pretty straightforward thing.

Qinv is the additional charge to then invert the same region,
    but how much? That's...

Closed: Re: on-resistance of a mosfet

On-resistance is a DC parameter. At 100GHz you are looking
for an on -impedance- which is a complex number, and it is also
shunted at both ends (and the middle, if you care to get really
    fine...
  8. Closed: Re: Why all the applied Voltage appears across the Depletion Region ?

How? Because they define it so. That is, they say there's
negligible current so I*R in the ohmic regions is to be neglected.

Now outside academia there are many cases where ohmic resistance
    and...
  9. Closed: Re: Different isolation techniques used to isolate devices with different potential?

Twin-well JI processes can give you isolated NMOS bodies.
    Other than that, SOI.

Closed: Re: Resistor Layout - Guard Ring

Poly resistor has no substrate contact so there's no need
for extra isolation measures for leakage. -Maybe- if you
are extremely sensitive to substrate noise, but even that
    is pretty unlikely...

Read the datasheet carefully (and know how to interpret
    the way things are expressed).

Some op amps (esp. older medium-voltage, 30V bipolar

So what would be the downside of just replacing the

Well, by all means let me be the first to "Google it" for you.

See? Easy and effective. You can do it. Yes you can.

You're talking to a very small sliver of that kit's users

You can do analog design with any kit that provides

If you are concerned about battery excess charging then

Sure. A clamp-on ammeter and your circuit breaker panel.
You can see current in each branch by turning off all but
one at a time, and follow the thread.

Depending on your environment you might...

  19. Closed: Re: What are the layout methods to make source to drain capacitance zero?

The only things that makes zero capacitance are infinite distance

    Good luck with...

The way the Vishay word salad is packed, makes me think
this is about thin film resistivity stability and/or trim stability.
The criterion may not be failure but tolerance drift.

0.68uF is well within the range of 35V ceramic caps. But you
