I’m not sure there’s a monolithic device, but you could build one using a very high speed opamp (GBP> 1GHz) and high speed diodes. Just do a search for “peak detect circuit” for typical topologies.

Then you're going to need to get the manufacturers curves.

Or, use some of your reasoning power . If the D has 13000 and the AA has 2400==> 13000/2400=x/2months
  3. Closed: Re: Runtime of clock using alkaline D cells instead of AA batteries

Do the math: Alkaline AAs have 2400mA-H of capacity; Ds have 13000mA-H. These values depend somewhat on the load.

What do you mean you want to "capture a jitter"? Do you mean you want to measure jitter? Maybe you want to capture a glitch? Please elaborate

You do things like putting common-mode chokes on the power inputs, but if you’re going to be selling this product, you’ll probably need to have it tested by an outside lab. I believe in the EU you...

So, if you knew the answer, why did you bother asking the question?

As far as EMC, you need to be a LOT more specific. Different countries have different requirements. And it depends on the type...

That (goofy) circuit has none of the features you mention, other than the inexplicable rectifier bridge on the 24volt input. Why would you have a bridge on a DC input? Is it, perhaps AC input? What...

Why a resistor in parallel? That will just change the voltage scaling.

Your attachment tells us nothing, other than the physical dimensions of the transformer and that there are a 330 and 470 ohm resistors on the secondary. What's the current transfer ratio?

It says right there : maximum current, 5 amps. What’s your question?

If you exceed the PLAINLY STATED manufacturer’s spec, you’re on your own. Maybe it will be ok, maybe it won’t. You don’t even...

I’m not about to analyze 5000 lines of code, but it looks like your problem is that it multiplexes the 4 digits properly and then blanks them for a long period. It might be that you’ve got a routine...

I'm a bit confused. If your input scanning rate is slow, you can sample an input, transmit the appropriate data, and then wait an eternity before you scan the next input and transmit the next data,...

  17. Closed: Re: Operating four Tx-Rx pairs in close proximity

I'm not an RF guy, but I have to believe that if you've got four transmitters running at the same frequency, a receiver is going to get garbage.

There are thousands of diodes that would work. The two I recommended are extremely common; cheap and plentiful. What’s wrong with those? If you don’t like those, then just search for ones that meet...
  19. Closed: Re: Lamp Test Circuit with some other indications.

Those are Schottky diodes. If you had actually gone to the trouble of reading the data sheet, you’d see that they have 1ma of reverse leakage current, enough to make an led glow. There’s no reason...
  20. Closed: Re: Lamp Test Circuit with some other indications.

The ONLY possible current path is through reverse biased diodes. Either you've got something wired wrong, or those diodes are leaking.

I’m not even sure WHAT this circuit does. Just a whole bunch of diodes.

You don’t tell us switch positions or component values or what that “volt meter” is, but I suspect you’ve got some leakage through your diodes, or something wired wrong.
