    Did I calculate correctly?

    Xc = 1/ (2 × Pi x f x C) => 0.4 milliOhms
    Each single millilvolt causes 2.5A of current.

    How do you expect the wiring to be that low impedance?

    * expect voltage range of 10.5V .... 14.4V for 12V nominal lead acid battery.

    Usually yes, because you need to ensure that the RS485 signals are within specified range referenced to it's GND.

    It should be mentioned in every RS485 IC datasheet as well as RS485...
