I did try the vacuum at one point but without success. I have done that before with larger conduit and it works really well. With larger conduit you can tie a cloth or foam ball to string to make a...

That is what I thought may have caused motor to slow. The wheel was only supported on one side by motor shaft. Forcing the precession must have put a great deal of stress on bushings/bearings and...

Are you speaking of @cmitra reply of post #6. If so I don't think he realized there would be a motor maintaining rpm of wheel when he replied. I made a device like the one in YouTube video, but...

Proving to be more difficult than I expected. The 23 gauge will start but just the slightest bend in wire or tubing will cause it to jam up. I will try with 24 gauge and see how that goes. If that...

You might consider 5 amp fuse between battery and controller. Then lower rated fuse from controller to load as wwfeldman suggested.
  12. Closed: Re: PV with Arduino and 12Volt Sealed Lead Acid battery

I believe you should first determine what current your load will draw. I see on page 15 it recommends 2 times rated current fuse is connected with battery and load. Not sure how to interpret this....

I know with some types of welding equipment they use a high frequency arc stabilizer. This allows you to strike and maintain the arc without direct contact.

I think soft copper could be used. Something with just large enough diameter to pass the wire. It may become work hardened if you coil and uncoil it many times though.
