Hi i want to add noise to the input current source of my multiplier circuit and i want to run the DC analysis. Can anyone tell me can is there any noise file already written that i can obtain from cadence or do it have to write a file of my own and include the txt file. Also once obtained can anyone pls tell me how to include it. In the current source i am only getting option to enter the "name" and"value". How can i define the path from wer the noise file should be included. Thank you!!! :)

Hi i found online that there were 2 ways to add noise to current source. One was to include a noise txt file and 2nd was to manually mention the noise/freq pairs. I mentioned 5 pairs of freq and noise values to the current source.

Freq, Noise
9999.999999999871, 2.687817570986485e-12
10232.92992280741, 2.663957372134177e-12
10471.28548050886, 2.640415064596976e-12
10715.19305237592, 2.617187240308667e-12

For the dc analysis of the multiplier circuit i get a linear output of Iout vs Iin. I am getting a linear response but even after including the noise/freq pairs i am getting no change in my output. Can anyone pls tell me wer i am going wrong. Would be really helpful!!! Thank you!!!

It is very natural result.
Noises are valid only for Noise Analysis.

There is no tool whose name is cadence.
Even if you use Cadence ADE, we can use various vendor's simulators such as Synopsys HSPICE, Mentor Eldo, Keysight ADS, Keysight GoldenGate, Cadence Spectre, etc.

Always describe correct tool's name and vendor's name which you use as tool or simulator.

So I don't know what simulator you use.
However I assume you use Cadence Spectre as Simulator.

You have to use "Noise Analysis" such as noise, pnoise, qpnoise, tran with noise.

You evaluate multiplier, so you have to use pss/pnoise or tran with noise.
