we need an advice for what kind of microcontroller that can process a certain voice for it to detect what word i said..

Need help for our thesis, voice-activated speed control for electric fan!thanx

We need help in making a voice-activated speed control for electric fan. We can't start our project because we don't know how to make its schematic diagram and its components. We are thinking of using a microcontroller but we're not sure if its available in our country. A million thanks to anyone who wants to help;-)

could you explain more about your project and what you want.

Well thank you for the reply, we are planning to make an electric fan that can be operated through voice. When you say "on", the fan will be turned on and the speed level is automatically on Level One, and will be turned off if you say "off". The speed levels is also voice-activated. When you say "two" the speed level will turn on Level Two, same as when you want it on level three. It That possible sir?

we really appreciate anyone who helps..were hoping we could get answers as soon as possible!!thank you and good day>..../

voice detection is a very complex process. So you need a dsp processor. Through sapi of microsoft it is very easy to program, if you wish to do as a project only. For a product you can buy voice recognition ic and you can interface to any controller you need. Several of them are using spi protocol for communication.

Sorry for poor english

it's ok sir..we really appreciate your reply..what specific microcontroller is available here in the philippines? Can we ask sir, what is the sapi of the microsoft? sorry sir we're not familiar with some of the things you just said..

sorry for your first question. Because i am an indian.
The second question about sapi. SAPI means a microsoft agent. You can do the program in any DOT NET framework. That means the pc will recognise the commands and send the commands to the microcontroller to do the actions.

thank you sir,,i"ll ask another question.I hope it's ok for you..Is there any device that we can substitute for a PC?.We need a voice processor to control the speed of the electric fan and it's switch...THANks..
