Hi,

Do anyone know what is the relative permeability of FR4 material?

Is it approximate 1?

Thank you.

If your application is critical, please note that the actual value depends on frequency, temperature, manufacturer and batch. You may see values between 4.4 and 4.8, depending on resin formulation and glass content.

Hi WimRFP,

I thought the 4.4 - 4.8 is the dielectric constant of FR4?

If i am not mistaken, permeability is something dealing with the magnetic field which i think is relative value is about 1. Please correct me if i am wrong.

Garypang: Sorry, I made a reading error, of course relative magnetic permeability is 1 for FR4.

Thanks for correcting me!
