8) Hi,
somebody has scematics for a very simple L only meter with a range from
10 micro Henry to 1 Henry which does not use a Microprocessor.
Thanx

Re: L-Inductance Meter

Rauol,

I think 1 Henry is extreme but if you can use a little less here is an add on for your multimeter. Very simple to build.

Ante

Re: L-Inductance Meter

Thanx Ante,
the limitation is measurement upto maximum of 7 mH in the high range.
but i want to measure 50 Hz transformers which has higher value of inductance.

Has anybody used this ? what is the linearity of measurement?

Re: L-Inductance Meter

Hi guys, I make PCB for this L tester on E@gle.
if anybody like it, just use ;)
I don't have time but I make this tester maby after a week. I make one, because I don't have yet L tester

L-Inductance Meter

if i have read it right, i think that circuit only measures inductance for a max of only 10mH...

anyone out there with a much higher measuring range? say 500mH? that would be quit usefull ..

Re: L-Inductance Meter

Here is one that can measure up to 1H.

Borber

im quit familiar with the color of the scheme... :) its from SILICONchip site right? ... nice info/scheme... i duno if the analog ammeter could be raplaced with an DVM for a direct reading approach.. :)

btw, have u tried making this circuit??? because i believe some circuits from that site had errors...

Re: L-Inductance Meter

Hi Borber, did you know the accuracy of this L meter ?
I like to build some L meter (or LC or LCF) but only for L measurement.
and I'm not sure what kind of L meter to make. PIC or some other.
actally I like to measure inductance with wide range, to 5H, and with max 1-5% accuracy.

Re: L-Inductance Meter

All info is in the attachement. Sorry. I have not build it.

Hi mikifena,

i think 1H IS enough for me :) only problem is i cant get the VN*** mosfets here.... i ll try to substitute an n-Mosfet with a higher RDSon <= 4ohms..... i dunno if IRF830 would do...
