So, I am making some impedance converting transmission line transformers to go in my design. I have already successfully made a 1:4 and a 1:9 impedance transformer good enough for my application (off the shelf ones aren't linear enough). I have not decided yet which I'll use in my final design. But, I had to make the trifilar myself, which was a pain, as we only have bifilar. Is there anywhere that sells ready made trifilar wire that we could use? If we go with that it would ave a tonne of time and effort but I'm currently drawing a blank on where to get some from. Any ideas would be welcome.

Thanks
James

Thanks for this. I have now asked them for a quote. even if it turns out to be a bit pricey it'll worth not having to hand wind the wire ourselves! The high frequency performance should be better too.

Hi Colon,

Did you manage to find any trifilar wire? I'm interested in obtaining some too, so I'd be interested to know if you found a
supplier that would sell a small quantity.

Thanks!
