small signal and large signal analysis

In the DC analysis for any circuit (amplifier for example) u get the biasing point of the transistor i.e DC current passing and the DC voltage .... these are the currents and voltages due to the DC supply .... in this analysis,we set the input signal required to be amplified to zero ( applying superposition) .... the aim of the DC analysis is to make sure that the bias point lies in the required operating reion of the transistor ( active region for example or saturation region for FETs)

In the small signal analysis , again we apply superposition and set all DC supplies to zero and we analyze the ct(where the input signal is small signal) and get voltage and current gains in addition to input and output impedances .... in this analysis we neglect the nonlinearity of our device (transistor) ... i.e. all equations used in this analysis are linearized ones.
in case of small signal signal analysis, we ground all dc sources then analize the circuit.
we can perform dc or large signal analysis independently but for small signal analysis


At last , in the large signal analysis we assume that the input signal is a large signal .... here we must account for the nonlinearity of our device .... the output signal will be distorted (nonlinear distortion).
in case of large signal analysis, we ground all ac source and then we analize the circuit and i think dc analysis is same as large signal analysis
we need some parameter that has to be obtained by using large signal analysis.
