Hi Every one

I am Struggling for Development of 4mm* 4mm Size Low pass Filter having passband at 2.4G but strong stopband at 4.8 GHz and 7.2 GHz using Microstrip with Substrate thickness 8 mils.

I am using HFSS in this Regard

Any Suggestions

Regards

I guess u want to do it in multi layer,..because the size restrictions u have is very small.....

Preferably use LC lowpass filter in multilayer..

thanks fr your response

I am planning to use Defected ground to create miniturization and addtional LC generation with ground discontinuity.. Lumped Element is not acceptable. This is the big issue

Regards

Hi,

U can use DGS if ur interested @ higher freq say around 10G.. but not for 2.4G...

Defected ground structure takes more area than using LTCC @ 2.4GHz...

I would say if ur looking @ a size of 4mm * 4mm use LTCC technology ...

U can take a look @ the example..

Thanks
Venu

LTCC Technology Fabrication is quiet Difficult

I am thinking in involving step Discontinuity in top layer and Defected ground together.

Also, as thinkedd of substrate is 8 mils... might be it helps in miniturization

what you suggests guyz???

hi
i think u doing wrong simulation . can i ask u to send u simulation for my email

Hi

since ur having a very strict restriction on size.. u cannot design a filter in 4mm *4mm other than LTCC. But in case if u can relax ur size u can design.
By the way what are other specs are they too stringent..??

Or buy the LTCC component from minicircuits if u r doing a system design.........
