Uart bootloader for Atmel89s52

hi,
i want to programme atmel 89s52 just using serial coomunication...no ISP programmer..
just At89s52->MAX232->PC...
this connection can programme the chip..As well as use for Serial communication..
is this possible?????????????

had you read the data sheet of AT89S52?
what did it says?

The AT89S52 does not have In-Application Programming feature. Main part of an bootloader is flashing in runtime. The only solution that I see is to use an external flash.
 
go for an 89C51ED2, RD2, or a variation thereof (if you can find any!)
These are all programmable through the serial port when PSEN is low.

What is the software for programming?
is any other hardware needed except the MCu and MAX232?????????????

For the AT89C51ED2 I use atmel's program called "FLIP". I create a batch file and just double click it to program the device with batchisp.
Easiest way to program the chip. Just install a jumer on PSEN to GND, and click the bat file. Easy.

not possible but you have to change the micro controller newer versions
 

I am not sure about serial communication on programming.. U need a master driver for this...Please tell me whats wrong on ISP programming.

you can use NXP controllers and program in via serial port using flash magic
