i need help in making a GUI in matlab

im conducting a study on volatile gases released by plants and i need to make a system wherein i have:

1. A sensor system that would sense gases
2. interface from system to the microcontroller
3. from microcontroller to the pc with GUI

problem is i dont know where to start

progress so far:

sensors with a wheatstone bridge that detects change in resistance of the sensor.
bought a microcontroller:z8f4821pm020sg
installed matlab and reading tutorials for gui
 

Hai,

I think you need to learn how to interface the sensor with your micro controller, but firstly determine your kind of sensor. You do not mention what kind of gases that you will sense. After that you should learn the data communication between micro and PC running matlab. Developing GUI in matlab is simple enough. There a lot of resources in internet dealing with that.

I hope this will help you configure out the steps that you should do. Perhaps the other people will answer more detail.

but my Q is how to get reading to matlab GUI for the sensor from transceiver connected to computer via USB ???
can any one help me?
 

Please take a look at this site first **broken link removed**. Perhaps it will can help you. But I will try to elaborate more. As it's done, I will let you know.
