Re: working of diode

hi all

Here is the Heart Beat Monitor as i promise upload contian lot of information about the heart beat monitor and two types of heart beat
monitor one on pic micro and other on cmos chips with sensor detial
one thing more in pic based monitor used photodiode in the place of LDR

your uploaded archieve contains a "schematic.pdf" (in HEARTBEAT.zip)which needs a password. You can post it? - thanks

I not really understand assembly language..Do you mind explain the "Convert" part in the hemon.asm file in C language?I am currently using the sensor part this circuit but connect it to PIC18F4550..I am facing problem on calculating heart rate. Thank you.

morning....i would like to ask for your help guys im designing a patient monitor tht wil measure the temperature and hear rate but now im stuck, can any1 help me pls
thank you

Re: photodiode working

hi friend it is new for you that i am electronics engineer but working as biomedical engineer since from 1992, have expirence on ziess laser and opth medical equepments such as autoref, field analyzer, pulse oxi meter and nibp monitor a long rang on which i have worked

here is some for you

heart beat or pulse oxi meter probe consist of high bright red led and a ir led plus bpw34 photo diode from siemens
the working princepal is very clear red light absrobe by homuglobin and the percenttage of absordtion is counted by photo diode for heart beat
and other led which is ir show the percenttage of air in bloob if you need more information i will send you

HI...i am currently doing this project,i wonder can i interface with USB and read thru matlab????TQ

Re: photodiode working

it would be extremely helpful for me if you can provide more information about the heart rate sensor using bpw34 and super red led...the schematic of the circuit using bpw34 and super red led....resistor ranges to be used in sensing network..
thank you for very useful info..

Re: photodiode working

HI I MANAGE TO OPEN IT thx
but my big issu is that i have the photodiode and the led(red and IR) but my problem is how to power the led because it got only 2 wire one for each led so no ground. so i am wondering how would i power them?i am planing to use the 555 timer as pulse generator but how to connect with only two wire?
plz help
thx
