hello all,

I'm trying to route some paths through specific metal layers. For example i want to pass net N4 of cells A and B from only metal 4,5 or 6.

I used Mixed-Signal router for this job, just before global-detail route with Nanoroute (so as the Nanorouter don't try to connect this path as Mixed-Signal router creates SPECIAL NETS) but I get several geometry violations after detail routing.

I also tried to make the global-detail routing first and then reroute the routed N4 with the Mixed-Signal router with the option -deleteExistingRoutes. But it doesn't delete the old wire and just creates an other one.

If anyone has done something similar or have any idea about it (maybe other routers i.e. Virtuoso CAR, FlipChip..) it would be really helpful.

thanks,
Dionisis

thank you very match for the reply jiancongwoo.

I read the manual and i wrote a tcl script for erasing some nets and replace with specific metal layers. However nanorouter just prefers the metal layers i declare in the script (although i pass the parameter -preferred_routing_layer_effort high). Is there a way of connecting ONLY through specific nets??

thanks,
dionisis
