hello freinds!
I need ur help to complete my project. do anyone know about p files in matlab? I want to do a project on fingerprint matching using matlab source code. I got the codes but in that all files are p file. so pls help me! how to open these files or how to convert them in m file or any other suitable format so that I can read them.

What's the difference between M-files, Pcode, and MEX files?

"Pcode is a preparsed and encoded version of the M-file. Since it is preparsed, it saves on the load time of the function. This is most likely not an issue except for very large M-files, since most are parsed only once anyway. Pcode also lets you hide the source code from others. Careful, there is no way to convert Pcode back to the M-file source. Pcode is platform independent."

You may contact the original author of the p-code files that you have or you may try to write your own according to your requirements

it used embedded code by student who dun wish to share their codes
