Hi!

I have a question regarding the IO placement.

I have to design a digital circuit with soc encounter. Now I'm wondering how i can define where the IO will be placed. I have to mention that the pad structures will be placed in the top level when puting together all of my "blocks". For the moment I just want to define the postition of the pins in the digital design. E.g. i want the SDA pin to be placed on the left side of the boundary. How can I define this?

Hope u understood what I was talking about :)

Best regards

hi .
the easiest way is let the tool do placement automatically, and then write out a .io file. you can play with this .io file to place the pins where ever u want it .

*) do the design again with the changed IO file
