check pic 16f877a crystal

i am using pic 16f877a, with wdt-disable, hs-16mhz uses 22pf, other cofiguration bits are disabled. it does't work well. i think the problem is with the oscillator...what can i do...

pic16f877a wdt issue

Hi

Need more info than that - some program code and circuit diagram would help, plus an actual description of exactly what is not working ie - nothing at all, doesn't turn a led on etc.

Have you tried running a simple 'flashing led' program to prove the software / hardware ?

pic16f877 current consumption

i did with the led but not working continuously.. i am using TOP programmer to program the pic.

pic 16f877a problem is resetting

power supply is ok. works sometimes when i press somewhere. is a resistor required btw osc2 and crystal. i uses 16mhz crystal. how can i test the crystal.

mypic

the resistor in oscillator is not much important,i never used that. as u said it works when u press somewhere in the board, then it might be due to Dry Soldering.please check your soldering in the board.if u doubt your crystal you can check with another crystal

led programming using 16f877a

i am expecting you will click Helped button if i helped you

pic16f877a restart

Check:
1-proper 5Vdc (not ac component)- with scope.
2-Master reset to be off or if is on to have >=4,5V on pin 1.
3-Good crystal, try with similar other just to see it runs.
4- Good soldering/contacts on all pins and ok capacitor.

I think there is problem in your circuit , i check its supply section , and current consumption in circuit
