lowest cost microcontroller

hi friends, can someone please suggest a lowest cost microcontroller having atleast One 10-bit ADC. & atleast 10 I/os . Other parameters are secondary.

I get PIC16F684 for $0.7. I'm looking for a controller of price maximum $0.5. I get AT89c2051 for this price but it dosen't have ADC.

Thnx.

attiny24a price

You can also search for AVR ATtiny controllers.

adc lowest cost

Thanks sau_sol. I enquired for ATtiny but in my area (Delhi) they are bit costly, at what rate do you get them in your area?

price & otp with adc & holtek

Hi Lats,
You can use 16f676 instead of 16f684...its much cheaper in delhi around 32 indian rupees....PM me if you want exact source in delhi...

lowest cost microcontroller with adc

Well, there is at least one more parameter very important, HOW MANY of them?
If you are looking for 1, 10 or 100, you selection will be extremely limited, if you are looking for 100k there will be some options for you @ 50cent or below. To have at least 10 I/Os you need a 14-pin package.
You could have a look at the low end Silabs devices with 10-bit ADC, they run @ approx. 89cents when you buy 100

Just a thought and I hope it helps, Bob

microcontroller price $0.5

The cheapest AVR with >= 10 I/O-pins and 10-bit ADC is ATtiny24A: http://www.atmel.com/dyn/products/product_card.asp?part_id=4448
ATtiny24A is cheaper than AT89c2051 an they are both made by Atmel, so you shold be able to get them from the same distibutor.
And AVR is a much more modern architecture than 8051 too.

But what qunatities do you need?
Does it have to be flash or is OTP ok?
No code-size or speed requirements?
What voltage should it operate at?

i heard from my friend he is using fujitsu 8-bit controller with all necessary peripherals at a very low price when compared to mid-range PIC controllers

PIC16F616 is even cheaper than PIC16F676 and still fulfills the requirments of >= 10 I/O pins and >= 10-bit ADC:
https://www.microchip.com/wwwproducts/Devices.aspx?dDocName=en026028

But the Atmel AVR ATtiny24A I mentioned in my previous post is cheaper than Microchip PIC16F616 (based on Digikey pricing).

Thanks all of you for replying. I'll try out in market & will let you know. By the way I clicked "helped me" for everyone :)

In what quantities can you buy AT89c2051 for $0.5?
I assume you mean USD?

What qunatitites do you need to buy of this new MCU?

AT89c2051 I buy 100 nos. for USD $0.5. For my desired controller the quantity would be 200-300

Does the AT89C2051 require an external clock? If so then a microcontroller with a built in oscillator is probably cheaper.

blueroomelectronics thanks for replying but oscillator is a secondary issue primary requiremnt is a 10-bit ADC
