Hi, all.

I'm using Cadence IC 6.1 and MMSIM 6.1.
In my circuit, I need to set signal of the special form on an input of the scheme.
I have file, which contains array of points of this signal( 50 millions points per 1 ms ).

Does anyone know how can I do a signal generator which picks points from my file?

Thanks in advance.

Hi dmitry,

use a PWL source and assign a file name to it, in which you provide time/voltage level pairs. If you have the .../cdslib/artist/analogLib/ , you can put the 'vpwlf' voltage source into your schematic, and assign the file name into the 'PWL file name' field. The file contains the time/voltage level pairs in the form:
time0 voltage0
time1 voltage1
....... ...........

Hope this helps! - erikl

Thank you, Erikl.
It really works.
But, you might know, can I set ONLY a voltage( without time ) in pwlFile and set time, for example, in "period" property of my vpwlf source?

Never done, so I don't know, sorry! Just give it a try! (And tell us if it works, pls!)
