After P&R and CTS, is it a need to set_clock_uncertainty to do PT?
Say, if the clock skew in CTS is confined to 0.1. Is it necessary to set_clock_uncertainty to do PT analysis? To my knowledge, after the CTS is dertermined, the clock skew is a certain value. PT only needs to us worst_case for setup time calculate and best_case for hold time calculate. Or, set_clock_uncertainty just for process deration?
Please help me on this...
thany you

Hi bradyue,

clock uncertainty = clock skew + clock jitter.

So after CTS, you still need to set clock uncertainty = clock jitter.

That mean your clock uncertainty value will be lesser without considering the clock skew value.

Hope this help.

THanks.
