hfss adaptive passes did not converge

Hi,
I am using HFSS V11.0 and I am new to HFSS. When I simulate a structure sometimes I am getting the warning, "Adaptive passes did not converge based on specific criteria". Can somebody explain why this is so, does it change my simulation results as well and how do I choose the adaptive passes correctly when simulating a structure?

Thanks a lot!!!

adaptive pases didnot converge

What that means is that the convergence was not reached by your adaptive passes (that is delta S is not under 0.02, which is typical value). You need to let the HFSS solve more passes (increase the max adaptive passes value in the analysis-setup window).

simulation not converge

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Can you explain how does it affect my simulation results? Does it give me wrong simulation results?

Thanks!!
