do i need a active power filter

Hi everbody,

During last two year I've studied abour active power filter. And I desined a circuit for obtainig harmonics on power system.

Now I have design an inverter for injecting harmonics to power system.

Anybody help me about this subject?

How can I design an inverter?

thanks

active power filter circuit design

do you need h/w development help or s/w development help.....

Can we assume, that you know the standard literature, e. g. the Active Filters chapter in Rashid Power Electronics Handbook? This profound literature also discusses many design aspects of today's inverter technique. Apart from that, just consider a three-phase IGBT inverter with a medium, let's say, 3 to 6 kHz PWM frequency, sometimes called AFE (active front end).

thank you very much everbody

I have to design a power circuit for injecting harmonics to power system.

By the way, I have a circuit for obtainig hamonics.

This is just an experiment, big experiment.

Maybe our power system has a diode rectifier as a harmonic source and THD %15.

Now I want to reduce THD to %2.

I want to learn design consideration.

Could you help me?

yes

give me the voltage input specs and your load specs

the we ll decide the active filter topology...

ok

ok, AC source 220V, 50Hz.

and load is 1 ohm and 1mH (parallel) and required 10 A.

How can you do it?

Could you send me your references?

hai, i want to do my project on shunt active power filters..and iam willing to design three-level inverter fed by space vector modulation..i want to built in simulink only..my project submission date is on may. up to now i didn't get any idea regading to this please help me..
