I need to attenuate 220 Volts @ 50 Hz. Can this be achieved using Active High Filter or I will have to use Passive High pass filter.

Please help me.

You can use step down transformer to step down 220vAC to say 12Vac
or if you just want to sense the voltage & there is no need of isolation
then you can use simple resistor divider.

Do you want to down the voltage or attenuate some frequency?

If you need some attenuation at this voltage then you have to go for passive filter.

Yes I need to attenuate some frequencies.

te04-0202, think it over and ask a question that make a sense or describe the problem you have to solve.
