Setting Proxy in Linux....

We have embedded Linux device which has ethernet interface. We dondt have browser. We need to configure Proxy setting using linux command Line.

Can any one help in this regard.
 

in bash

$ export http_proxy=proxy.com:8080

or

$ export http_proxy=http://username:passwd@proxy.com:8080/
