Uplink and down link frequencies

Hello,

DL frequencies are higher than UL frequencies. Mainly for design complexity reasons and power consumption.

Hi,
The uplink freq (from mobile to base station) is lower than downlink freq(base station to mobile).
That's because the atmospheric attenuation increases with the frequency.
(Attenuation α 1/v^4 by rayleighs model). Now the base station can generate signals which have higher energy as compared to mobile, which due to it's portability, can transmit lower power (smaller battery). That's why uplink freq is less than downlink freq.

Why is downlink frequency is always higher than uplink frequency?

Your question is very general. Please elaborate by telling us the field of your interrest: Cell phones, internet, Satelites communication...

hi there,
i think you can apply the same answer from ankit gaur earlier
