Is it possible to operate at 38.4kbps with 11,0952MHz clock? or what crystal should be used for that?

Re: 8051 and 38.4kbps

The crystal frequency is very good, cause 8051 baud rate generator can achieve rates of fosc/(32•n), with n = 9 how get 38.4k.

8051 and 38.4kbps

Strictly speaking, this is possible only with 8052, using timer2 as the baudrate generator.

The vast majority of today's '51 derivatives do have timer2 (or even an independent baudrate generator), the notable exception is AT89C2051.

Re: 8051 and 38.4kbps

So, how should I initialize UART to use Timer2 at 34.8kbps?
Could you give an example that includes all necessary bits and bytes???
