Hello all....
i am trying to use chipscope vio core.I've generated edn cores for icon and vio ips
but i am not being able to insert them into my design. i have instatiated the icon and vio core in the top level of my design. whenever i try to synthesize i get ? on icon and vio cores instance .I tried to add two edns in project but the ISE does not support intake of two edn file. I learned that i will have to copy the edn files into ISE project dir.I did so...but that too proved no help....
anybody help...

Re: how can instantiate the cores(edn)generated by chipsccop

? is ok .

also add blackbox attributes :

example :

attribute box_type of chipscope_vio_tgen : component is "black_box";
attribute box_type of chipscope_ila_4 : component is "black_box";
attribute box_type of icon : component is "black_box";
attribute box_type of chipscope_ila_dataout : component is "black_box";

where....in my top module? or somewhere else?
and will i have to copy the edn files or add them directly into project?Sorry if i sound dumb .but i never worked with edn files..

Re: how can instantiate the cores(edn)generated by chipsccop

the edn files should be under your project folder.

put the attributes just before the begin statement .
