cst studio suite 2008

hi,
i've design a circular patch microstrip antenna with narrow slot for 2.4GHz circularly polarization..the antenna that i design is right hand circular polarization and using coaxial feeding.. the Q is how do i know that my design is the correct one by using cst? what i need to determine is the radiation pattern, the s11 parameter < -10dB, the bandwidth = 200MHz, the VWSR <2 and the input impedance = 50ohm.. so far from my design i've get the s11 parameter, VSWR and the bandwidth only.. any advice:?:

cst 3d results antenna -mobile

I am not an expert, but I will try to tell you what I have found out so far (I use CST Studio Suite 2006 but I think it's the same for 2008).
Radiation Pattern: Look for Solve menu in the main manu bar, then choose Field Monitors and a dialogue chart will be opened. Select "farfierd/RCS" for type and fill in boxes the frequency you are working with. Then click "apply" and repeat this for as many frequencies as you want to use in the simulation (5 it is ok). Press OK when you finish to close dialogue chart. Then run CST, whatever solver you use. You will find the results on 2D/3D Results folder, and there you can change the visualization mode and so on.
VWSR: Look for Results menu in the main menu bar, and then choose S-Parameter Calculation-> VWSR. Results are automatically calculated once you have run the program, and are placed in VSWR folder ( inside 1D Results folder).
Imput impedance: the way I get it is opening 2D/3D folder, then Port folder (the one I want to know its impedance), and finally e1 folder. Then in main window, written over your desing , some word appear. I look for Line Imp, and there you have it.
I hope this will help you.

cst studio suite 2008 patch

hi there..
Thanks for your reply. The CST Studio Suite 2006 is same with 2008. I think I can get what you try to explain here. So far it help to solve my problem. Thanks Clara..

Another Q is does the feeding size effect the radiation pattern for circular patch microstip antenna? any idea for this Q? needs some help.. tq

I think if the coaxial cable matches the port impedance, the feeder length has no effect. hope it is clear.
