Hi,
We are working on gps/gprs based vehicle tracking device. We want to get data from several sensors already integrated inside a vehicle (lets say a car or SUV).

How will we get the data and sensor outputs from the car?

Is there any standard port to communicate with cars main controller and get the data?

Where will we get these information in details?

Please suggest us.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Thanks a lot for your information.

I couldn't find out where the connectors are. In Toyota car (Corolla generic model) where the ports are to connect with the cars main processor and control system?

You can tap onto the vehicles CAN bus threw the OBDII connector I think. I haven't done it before though.
